The Phone Pals program pairs seniors in need of telephone companionship with a volunteer that regularly calls and checks in with them.

The 2022 Burbank Rose Float has been selected, and planning and construction is already underway! Volunteers ages 7 and up are invited to help with the many hours required to put together this amazing work. Email info@burbankrosefloat.com for more information. On February 17th at 6pm, The City of Burbank is hosting an online Community Workshop for updating City’s Transitional and Supportive Housing regulations, related to our homeless and at-risk community. This is an interactive meeting with opportunity for comments and questions. Zoom information here.
On Feb. 18th, 7pm, the Burbank Cultural Arts Commission is hosting its monthly “Virtual Burbank” zoom panel. This month’s theme is “Black Voices: A Catalyst for Change”. More information and links here.
The Burbank Art Expo will be held virtually this year, and the theme is “Spaced Out”. Kids of all ages are invited to submit art from any medium. Winners will be displayed in the virtual gallery and given a special recognition. Here’s a link to last year’s expo to get an idea of the wonderful diversity of art. Apply by Feb. 24th to be considered to serve on the Burbank Library Board of Trustees.
A special public hearing has been scheduled for Feb. 22nd, 6pm, where the council will consider revoking permitting for Tin Horn Flats. More information with documentation, how to watch the meeting, and how to comment to council here.
The Burbank chapter of LGBTQ+ Family and Friends Support Group (PFLAG) meets (virtually) the Second Monday of every month 7:00pm-8:30pm. The next meeting will be March 8th.
