City Council meeting tonight 6:00pm
We are experiencing a surge of COVID-19 cases in Burbank and nationwide. Burbank Unified School district has put together a list of community testing sites. For folks with kids in BUSD, keep up to date here on school testing protocols.
There are many locations available to receive a vaccine or booster. One of the best places to get an immediate walk-in appointment is at the Burbank Airport. Here is a list of a number other providers .
The Burbank Recycling center offers regular online community workshops on recycling and waste prevention. Now, the workshop will include the new laws that went into effect Jan. 1 that require composting pick up as well. Sign up for the next workshop on Jan. 12th, 6:00pm, here.
Burbank will be launching a 311 Mobile App in mid-January. Here, residents can report potholes, graffiti, and power outages. Also, we will be able to set up large item pickup, garage sale permits, and curb tree trimming. Information will be posted here when the app is available.
Be a part of the solution by volunteering for the Greater Los Angeles Homeless Count (including Burbank) on the evening of Jan. 25th. More information here.
There is a vacancy on the Art in Public Places commission. Applications are due by Feb. 2nd.
There are 5 openings on the upcoming charter review committee. This committee does an audit of the city charter, then makes a recommendation to council on whether a formal charter review and update is needed. Applications to be on this committee are due by Feb. 2nd.
Some smaller residential building permits are now available online. In addition, residents are able to now schedule inspections online. More information here.
