Every year, the Burbank Public Library hosts its summer reading club. All through the summer, there are events and opportunities to enjoy the programs at the library. This program is for both children and adults. At the end of the program, participants can receive free books to take home, as well as other prizes. The program runs from June 1st to July 31st. Join local community members in cleaning up and weeding our city parks in one of the Burbank DIG days. The next one will be June 3rd, 8:00am-10:00am, at Johnny Carson Park. More info here.
Every Saturday morning, volunteers gather on the Chandler Bike Path to improve the landscaping to a more eco friendly and butterfly inviting environment. The public is welcome to stop by and help out this Saturday, June 3rd, from 8:30am-10:00am.
The Downtown Burbank Arts Festival is this weekend, June 3rd and 4th, from 11:00am-6:00pm. San Fernando is closed to car traffic and the street is filled with art, food, music, and fun. More information here.

The City of Burbank is conducting community outreach on the upcoming municipal elections districting process. The next meeting is June 14th, 6:00pm, in Council Chambers at City Hall.
